Mountain View Market shares many common threads with The Whole Enchilada Fiesta, some of them being food, community and history. Being a part of this community and this history, our 32 year old co-op wanted to join the fiesta in a meaning- ful and productive way. We decided to complement theenchilada with a giant organic salad, and call it "The Whole Ensalada". We at Mountain View Market were very excited when we heard that the Fiesta would welcome us to make our own record attempt: The World's Largest Organic Salad, The Whole Ensalada! We will use certified organic greens (lettuce, spinach, herbs), cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and broccoli, and organic salad dressings to create a salad weighing in over 500 pounds! Fiesta attendees will be able to watch the process of rinsing, drying, weighing, chopping and tossing this giant salad! We will serve the salad for free to any and all Fiesta attendees that wish to give it a try. Please join us, Saturday, September 29th at 2 pm to enjoy the salad!
